Thanks Peter. I don't think I really approached this thread well...my first few posts probably ruined any chance of a conversation with Marc.

When he did the abortion and guns are like spoons bit (which I recognize is just a variation on the old "Guns don't kill people, people kill people!" slogan) I sort of lost all patience with him...should have just walked away from my computer at that point and said nothing.

Honestly, his being pleased with the spike in gun and ammo sales after a mass shooting is...well...fairly disgusting.

I mean I know these mass shootings must thrill weapons manufacturers and gun and ammo dealers because sales go through the roof. Ramp up the fear, get out the propaganda, and sell, sell, sell. All those gun shows that went on after the Newtown tragedy I'm sure featured a "Get yours before they ban them!" sales pitch.

The NRA loves them because they get a spike in membership...so I mean for those people nothing probably pleased them more than a person walking into a school and slaughtering children and teachers.

They would probably love to see one of these incidents a month if not more...but for Marc to be celebrating that too...what is wrong with this guy? Nothing better than a frenzy of fear induced gun and ammo purchases is there?

The spike in sales was not due to a bunch of freedom loving Americans standing up for their rights and even he must realize how stupid that sounds...it was about ignorance, fear, and greed getting the best of people yet again.

If he thinks that's something to celebrate...well...good for him...makes him seem like one hell of a guy...probably his "Black swan moment" here.

I hope you are not as buried in snow as I am...
