Well yeah the NRA has ties to the gun industry but they don't represent any single mfg or anything. It is much like ACORN and it's attachement to the democratic party. What is the article trying to say that everybody doesn't already know?

It's got all of the tired old talking points that really says nothing we haven't heard for years (and years) and that they are once again going to try to slam down our throats, but I really had to laugh when they quoted Carolyn McCarthy when she is widely derided as a no-nothing legislator and is dangerous for that reason alone. She sponsered a bill to ban something she knows absolutely nothing about and that is why the gun culture is pissed. I will say it again, anytime you read an article (or see on TV) somebody that refers to a magazine as a high capacity "clip", gun owners know that person knows nothing. Not only that but that was not the only thing she didn't know about that her gun ban bill included...and she is a Federal lawmaker for crying out loud. Watch this one, where she is called out on it...
