I'm not a fan of the Senate blocking Supreme Court nominees as a rule. Sure, they have their role but not simply as a gatekeeper. The blocking of Obama's pick towards the end of his term (and the subsequent fast track of Trump's at the end of his term) still ranks with me as the nearly the worst of the worst political acts of recent memory.
But to your point about the election being rigged. It doesn't matter if Donald wins or loses. The election will be advertised as rigged. If he wins - the 'rigged election' chant will simply be there to show how powerful and popular he is. He even wins when the deck is stacked. If he loses - then we'll get more of the same. My wonder, though, is if he does lose - will he mount yet another comeback. I think he has to. He can't not. He can't end a loser. Trump 2028?

There are two things you need for an adventure, a treasure map and someone dumb enough to go with you.
