First, let me say this: I believe as history goes by, Joe Biden is going to go down in history as one of our most effective presidents in history. I really do. He did a remarkable job that does not get the credit he deserves. However, he needed to do this. I believe his staff has hid his decline beyond belief. And even though at his weakest he is far better than many, he just did not have the fight within him to deal with Trump. Harris will kick his ass. She is going to tear him up and THAT is what must happen.

Next, let's be honest here - most likely, a strong latent (hidden) purpose of Harris supporters being so adamant Biden stay in the race is because that would be her best route to becoming POTUS and I sincerely believe that the insiders knew of Biden's sharp decline. And after I heard the one Dem. Senator that has had many, many encounters with Biden state Biden did not recognize him, suggests to me that this had been one of the best kept secrets in politics. 

This has led me to believe, Harris supporters, and especially insiders KNEW or strongly believed Biden could not do four more years at all and that would be the safest  and surest way for Harris to become POTUS.

But you know what? I am more reassured today than yesterday.

Yes, what has been done to Biden makes me want to puke, but this is what America has become.

Now, what every single Dem needs to do is grow a fucking spine and get behind this woman tenfold.

Lastly, this is not meant to be disrespectful, but I think people like Andi and Reg are geared more towards micro-politics, minutiae and mechanics, while I see the failures of the Democrats related to an abysmal focus on macro-politics, the "game" and "art" of politics.  

And I think for me, this is related to the fact that in my working life and military background I existed within the world of MAGA before it had been fully born. I existed in those bowels of pre-MAGA as a progressive and liberal (and never hid it) for a long time.

Anyway, I think we are in a much improved condition and we are going to be OK (unless the Dems fuck it up). And ANY pundit, Dem, operative who suggests Harris should not be the nominee should be told to STFU and loudly.

And I suggest that we all calm down, relax a bit and when this is over, we all find a way to celebrate with a virtual shared beverage.

Ps....later, I will share a story about an encounter with a bunch of strangers that has really gave me a bit of optimism when it comes to the human condition.
