Dan, I totally agree with you that Biden is not where he was 4 years ago. Neither is trump. Neither am I. He has had one of the most successful presidencies in our country's history. Those are all facts, I think we can maybe agree on.

I'll try to explain what I was trying to communicate a little better. What I was trying to say is that if you look where all of the Replace Biden rhetoric came from, it came from "white men" by way of the corporate media companies being run by (at least predominately, it not totally) white men who, by the way, are also trump supporters. What they want is to make money. They can also influence their employees (i.e. Nicole Wallace, Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes) to move toward a certain slant, at least, in their punditry. If you look at actual pundits and media personalities who first began spreading the Dump Joe campaign, they were white males predominately. Meanwhile, POC in congress and in community organizing and in influential positions across this country, for the most part, are solidly behind Biden/Harris.

As much as I was disappointed to even think this, but there are people who truly do not want to see Kamala as president, for a variety of reasons. If you're looking at the political leaders that are calling for Biden to step down, there has been no plan put forth as to who will replace him. People have mentioned ideas which either step over Harris or completely remove her from the ticket. While there are a number of Black Americans who may not support Harris at the top of the ticket due to her prosecution practices in California which greatly negatively impacted people of color, I've heard more recently that Black women would support her. But there are still people, who may not realize it even, but by saying things like put Gavin Newsome or Gretchen Whitmer at the top of the ticket may be succumbing to systemic racism, white supremacy as they are stepping over Harris.

In addition, I listened to an Instagram Live event with AOC last night and she said that many of the (predominantly white) politicians who have come out publicly with the Drop Biden announcements or "leaks" have no intentions of including Harris in their Democratic ticket redo. Interestingly, she also said that in her conversations with these Congressmen they cannot game out what would happen after Biden stepped down. But, she reiterated, if you think their plans include a ticket with Harris, you'd be mistaken.

Also, the obvious refusal to hear what Black women in particular and POC in general in this moment, demonstrates (to me and to others) a component of white supremacy or racism if you'd rather I use that word. I don't think they are consciously saying they want to ignore what POC are saying, but by doing so, It shows the underlying systemic racism that persists in our country, even with people who try really hard to be open and fair to all. So I guess I'm not saying they are purposefully choosing to be white supremacists or racists, but that that is how it is manifesting itself.

Finally, just a few random thoughts. If you have not listened to what AOC said last night, I'd strongly encourage people to watch it. (link below) Also, the Biden/Harris campaign came out today and said that he is staying in the race. Also, Hakeem Jeffries who had previously questioned whether Biden should step down, came out today with a full throated endorsement of Biden/Harris 2024. Hop on to Threads and you'll see lots of enthusiasm for Biden/Harris 2024. Look at cable news viewership ratings and I think you'll see significant drop offs in CNN & MSNBC. That's because people have realized that they are pushing ideas that most average, everyday Democrats do not want. Finally, all of this kvetchin is just fantasy talk because there is simply not enough time logistically to make a change. The republicans are already gearing up to sue over the ballot being changed. What we NEED to do is get to work and elect Biden/Harris 2024 and AS SOON as they win, start looking at and prepping people to step up to run in 2028.

I hope all of that made sense Dan. We both know he's old. So is the other one. Joe is doing event after even; some scripted, some not. And during those events, he is laying out his vision for the future with VP Harris at his side. On the other hand, we have the orange demon spouting lie after lie, falling asleep at the big party for him that is the RNC, making absolutely no sense in his acceptance speech at the RNC. Which one should we chose? More and more people are saying Biden/Harris 2024.
