Idk Reg. I’m going from what AOC said in her Live last night and given that she interacts with the Beltway politicians I trust her. In addition, I’ve listened, over the years to what Black women say and what they recognize in any plans concerning Harris over the last 4 years.  Hakeem Jeffries actually came out strongly behind Biden Friday and the congressional Hispanic Caucus said they support Biden/Harris as well. Howard Dean = another old white male. The people coming out  to tell Biden to step down are not the grassroots people- the ones that actually get out and do the hard work - it's wealthy donors and media (all major media corporations owned by financial trump supporters) and elected people. 

I don’t think Reg, like I said previously, that these people that are looking for a plan without Harris or stepping over Harris, are consciously saying oh well she’s black we’re not going to want her on the ticket. It’s more of an embedded-in-American-society type racism; systemic racism. 

I urge anyone interested in any way in the November election to watch AOC’s Live from last night. Two things she said especially stand out. First, that in the back rooms of Congress when discussing this and other matters, what she hears is “My donors. My donors. My donors.” and NOT “My voters. My voters.” My voters.” Second is that people wanting to get rid of the ticket don’t just want to dump Biden, but want to dump Harris as well.

I’m listening now to the fantastic LaTosha Brown, co-founder of Black Voters Matter a large nationwide organization, who supports the current ticket. She said that NO ONE has talked to her or to other well-known Black leaders/organizers to ask what the temperature on the ground is. That is unconscionable! That also leads me to believe this is coming from donors pushing these electeds and not from constituents calling for them to step down. 

Can anyone explain to me why people are not understanding the logistics of a new ticket in the short time we have? Can anyone tell me how we are going to counter the lawsuits republicans will file in every state if the ticket is changed? How will the Democrats select who WILL be on the ticket if it’s changed? Why would elite Democrats if they’re not only interested in their bottom line, NOT listen to what a large part of their base is saying? What will we do about the fact that in order to be on the ballot in Ohio, the DNC is having a virtual convention/meeting of the campaign delegates to formally nominate the Democratic ticket a short while before the actual convention starts? Why would people be trying to change the ticket when people will start early voting in 2 months? The common ground swell voters, I believe, actually donate more money than Democratic mega donors. Why should those wealthy democrats (i.e. oligarchs) have more say in whose on the ticket than the masses of everyday people who overall give more financial support the this campaign. 

Today I travel to Augusta, Georgia to a State Committee Member meeting of the Democratic Party of Georgia. We will be electing our Democratic National Committee members. I will be talking to the Georgia delegates to the DNC, people from all over Georgia and I’ll let you know what they’re seeing/hearing.
