Reg and Dan it is not over yet and the POC that make up a huge part of the Democratic Party's base DO NOT want Biden to step down. There is no plan for what would happen in place of a BidenHarrris ticket and you can be DAMN sure that you will lose many people if Harris is stepped over or removed.

LOOK at the people driving this fucking nonsense! It's mostly white men, yes with some white women but the majority of those calling for him to step down are white men. They are NOT listening to the Black Congressional Caucus. They are not listening to the POC throughout this country that are yelling that they want to keep Biden. Again POC are a large part of our party. It almost appears that they are in fact exhibiting some characteristics of white supremacy. "It doesn't matter what the huge voting block of POC especially black women are saying, we are important, powerful white men and we are scared and want Biden gone."

I will say this until I'm blue in the face, the time to have an inter party fight was 2 years ago, not 4 months before the election. I really think that people will see what I and millions of others have seen which is Biden needs to stay right now. Joy Reid said yesterday that the people calling for Biden to step down are trying to run a 2028 election in 2024. YES to younger people; YES to the old white men (and women) stepping down from Congress to build our bench, but right now, in this time, at this moment and at this point in the election cycle, we need Biden/Harris.

Also, Reg I'm so sorry to hear that your wife is having such a hard time. I can't even imagine what she (and you) must be feeling. I'm sharing a link for a broadcast that I listen to 6 days a week, that is trauma-informed, understands Project 2025 and what we are up against, and realizes the power of women. Everyday, she talks me off the ledge. She is an attorney, corporate coach, and comes at everything from a trauma based point of view. I find it extremely reassuring BUT I am a white woman and while I have heard of, and can tell you what I've heard of fears of POC, I am not a POC. Today was an especially good episode, because, as you could tell from my last post, I was a bit down. Elizabeth gave me hope again today.
