I was raised Catholic, Kent, but, as the saying goes, I got better. The vast majority of Catholics that I know do not hate homosexuals. There is a broad range of opinion and some of them are even in favor of same-sex marriage. Why they choose to remain in the church, I know not. I guess certain ties are hard to break. The bottom line is that they are not a monolithic group. The Vatican on the other hand is unwavering in its anti-gay agenda and for that reason, and many others (the hypocrisy of annulment, their anti-woman hierarchy, anti-birth control, and many others), I will never return to Catholicism. Again, let's not paint with a broad brush. I'm with you, Kent, regarding gay rights, but let's not let rage rule over sense.
