Peter:

The reason why that both Kevin G and Pat were mentioned is because of their belief and participation in an organized religion that sponsors institutionalized hatred of a minority group in our society --- in this case it is the hatred of gay men and women.

As I mentioned to Kevin G the other day, I do not have a beef with him other than his being unduly influenced by the Christian bigotry dressed up as "religious truth."

Peter, I feel very strongly about this, as the doctor who saved my life is himself gay. If I had the belief that GOD HATES FAGS and THANK GOD FOR AIDS, I never would have let Ross treat me as a patient, and today, I would be DEAD because of my bigotry.

As far as my personal feelings of Pat and Kevin G --- my comments are not meant to be attacks. However, I think that it is important that if they do in fact think this way, then the irony of having a child who turned out to be gay I believe would be fitting and just --- as it would force that person to confront that issue in a very real and personal manner.

This is a country where people are allowed to voice repugnant opinions --- however, it is important to understand that for every action --- there is a resposibility that goes along with it. That responsibility in a forum like this --- comes in their own attempted defense and justification for thinking and speaking in a way that is hateful and destructive.
