That's it? That's all you've got Ed? A book recommendation? I've yet to see you (or Dan) challange or debunk anything I've said on the subject. How much is enough? Why should we rebuild NO with tax dollars? Inquiring minds want to know.
Because they are part of America ? Because they are America ? Because it will come from our pockets one way or another ? Because there will always be people on the lower rungs on the economic ladder? Because they are our neighbors ? Because America has always been a country who helps people in need ?
I'd sure rather spend tax dollars on this project rather then some of the other bullshit that it's going toward.
I'd like to see the day when all americans have all those opportunities to bring themselves into a position of wealth and security, then you will see all the current wealthy scrambling to get their shit work done because everyone else will be above the status of being a rung in the ladder to stepped on by those in power.
