Have you ever been to New Orleans Dale? It's a poor city. Watching the television news should have made it apparent to you that the underclass in NO is immense.
Poor people, many of whom are renters by the way, have to choose how to spend their hard earned dollars: food, mortgage, health care.... flood insurance. Hmmm. What would you do? I suspect that, like everyone else, you'd have to prioritize. And I'll bet you dollars to donuts that the more immediate threat of having no house, no food, no heat would take precedence over flood insurance.
As to subsidizing people's "irresponsibility", well I don't hear you criticizing the billions of your tax dollars going to those lazy and stupid Iraqis who were too irresponsible to organize their own democracy.
Anyway, it's nice to be back sharpening our wits on each other again my friend.
