and here is why:
It is because as I am trying to drum into my daughter's head, one must always be aware of the context and intent of other people when socially interacting, and deep-down, I KNOW, that so many of the regulars here have a sincere context and intent of what they post and it is never with a context of hate or an intent of meaning harm.
So folks here, or most of them, never have to apologize to me for expressing anger, a differing opinion, or even tell me I'm full of shit because as I typed, I KNOW the intent of lasting harm is never intended.
Here's a funny story that pissed me off for days when it comes to my girls:
We were at the dinner table and the subject of the items that go viral came up. I mentioned to our girls that if their grandmother ever asked what is this "Hauk Tuah Girl" stuff, they would have to be very careful how they explained it to her. Two of my girls (both adults!) freaked out and yelled at me for being inappropriate. I then became angry and brought out my "context and intent" speech and told them that they did not understand that and how they did not understand and fully appreciate the gaps in generations when it comes to things like this.
This pissed me off for days and the reason for that is, I have seen too many people that are good people and have been good people for a long time be accused of being things that they are not due to idiotic knew-jerk reactions because the context and intent was ignored. One time we had a white officer call a seven or eight-year-old black child a "boy" on the radio. Nothing racial at all. All he said was something like he was chasing a black boy or something to that effect. When he came in that night, one black patrol sergeant demanded to know why he called a black person a "boy" on the radio.
So, I am never worried about the remarks of people here who I know are sincere in their context and intent.
I'm just hoping I never cause DB to say "fuck you" to me.....LOL.
