We had a system of checks and balances that made sure, supposedly, that a single person or small group of maniacs could not run amok. The Supreme Court removed that system today and has for the foreseeable future created a new system of government in our country. This is now sitting there, in place, for any maniac to take advantage of.

Yes, the first maniac that will try to get hold of this power is Trump. Biden could use it, he is now president, but we all know he won't. If we manage to elect someone other than Trump, now we've just dodged the first bullet. Lots of maniacs just lit up today when they saw what the Supreme Court did. The power of the president to commit any crime he wants, while in office, and be immune from prosecution for doing so is the ultimate power trip.

OK, we had the Seal Team 6 argument. What if the president decided he wanted to rape Taylor Swift, he can now just ask she be brought to him, he can rape her, have his people rape her, and then give her to his voters to rape, that can be declared an official act as president, and no criminal charge can be brought.

Order his followers to attack the capitol and kill anybody inside? Official act. No prosecution.

If he wants to have sex with a 5 year old child, orders that child be brought to him, he can have his way with that child. Not illegal. Official act.

We have a king now, no longer do we have a president. What is that saying "absolute power corrupts absolutely"...well...that is now the law of the land.

The president now has the power to take anything, any property, any money, any anything and give it to whomever he wants. Himself, his children, his friends. If he does it as president, official act, not a crime.

The Supreme Court's job was to interpret the law. Congress makes the laws. The executive branch wields those laws, supposedly, for the good of the country. The Supreme Court just removed the phrase "We the people..." from our lexicon. It is now "I the president..." will tell the people what he wants and you better do it because he can now declare you be jailed or killed if you don't.

Game over, as soon as the wrong person gets access to this power.

Yes, Trump is the first challenge. He has said many times "If you have the power, you are a fool not to use it."

He will wield it with absolutely no mercy if he gets the chance. Other now know they can too.

Not sure how we get this back in the bottle.
