I would not call these two items a form of protest. Both of them occur under the umbrella of free speech and sure I think it's stupid and it's exactly that kind of crap that has led to trying to create protections against hate speech.

Hey, I am alone in this I know. I don't agree with Ed Brown but I am not going to go with the flow, call him a nut and wash my hands. It's real easy to just say "He's a nut. Who cares!"

Hey, Lee thinks it's all a laugher and the feds are just playing and they are not going to kill him. I'd like to believe that and be in on the joke but then there is Ruby Ridge and Waco and they already shot at the guy walking the Browns dog...but that was probably just a gag too and they all had a good giggle about it afterwards.
