This is not about their position on taxes. I gave you that info so you would understand where they were coming from. I really don't care and I pay my taxes and I wasn't looking for a way out of paying them. Also as a rather pointless aside, the Browns actually do pay their state taxes and are not opposed to anything except the Federal Income Tax. They aren't even really opposed to that and agreed to pay it. What they did was to start this to get answers from our government and I listened to a tax lawyer dissect their stand and he also does not agree with them but did say they may in fact have a point but it's a point they can't win this way. He said he'd be happy to show them ways not to pay tax if they'd like that would not end in a gun fight.
And this is my issue...the Browns are going to end up dead if this is not properly resolved and this is something I think we all should have an issue with. I don't really care how they want to live their lives or what their views are this is supposed to be some form of constitutional republic we are living in and what the fuck ever happened to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?
These feds are acting like jack booted terrorists and that's why this situation escalated. They raided and arrested the Browns, strip searched the guy and this is all before anything happened and he locked himself in his house. They probably made a mistake when they chose to represent themselves in court and then were told they would not be allowed to present the information and arguments they had prepared. They have removed information about him from the internet, the Browns will be slandered and painted as nutjobs, and then they will be executed on their own property.
Fucking great! Who exactly have these people hurt that they should suffer this? The Browns have the money to pay the government in full but now due to them walking out of their trial they are criminals AND tax evaders.
This whole thing is a load of horrific bullshit that should not be happening and it's a god damned disgrace. Argue tax law all you want by the time we're done doing that the Browns will probably be dead. It's all dehumanizing and disgusting that this is how our government communicates with us. It is very very wrong and that...at least to me is crystal clear.
