As we sit here this morning heavily armed Federal authorities, state and local police have surrounded the property of Ed and Elaine Brown in Plainfield, New Hampshire with the full intent to use deadly force against them and anybody on their land. Randy Weaver, who you may remember from the Ruby Ridge incident, had his wife, son, and dog murdered by Federal authorities when his property was surrounded in the same manner. Weaver ended up receiving a fine of $10,000 and a cash award from the government of $100,000 and his surviving children each got $1,000,000 from the government. Funny how our government works isn't it? They can come and kill your wife and child then fine you $10,000 then give you and anybody that survived their attack cold hard cash. Makes perfect sense right? Weaver is one of several people who have traveled to be with the Browns at their home and offer his support. Another was a friend of the Browns named Dan Riley and you can view his testimony at the bottom of this post for an explanation of how and why he was forced to leave.
Why does our government now feel it's necessary to use deadly force against the Browns? Well, you'll love this...because they didn't pay their taxes. They did not refuse to pay them, they actually agreed to pay any tax our government felt it was fair to collect on the simple condition that the government show the Browns the law that requires a private citizen to pay taxes. Turns out the government could not do that because there is no law that says a private citizen in this country is required to pay taxes. Yes, there is "tax code" enforced by the IRS but even this code is not clear. The code just says they will punish you if you don't pay tax but if you enter a court room there is no law that can be enforced against you for not paying tax because there is no law to enforce. People have known this for years and for years people have sold books, videos, and other info that explains why you are not required to pay taxes. There have been groups that for years have offered a standing reward that can be collected by anyone who can show them the law that requires a private citizen of the United States of America pay taxes...nobody has ever collected the reward not even an employee of the IRS who you would think could easily have done so.
The Browns are just regular folks, like you or me, and now they are surrounded by armed men who will use deadly force against them. These people are not crazy and for asking a simple question our government now feels it has the right to kill them and anybody that gets near them. In this case the question was about taxes and they first asked it in 1994. This would seem to be well more than a fair amount of time for them to assemble some sort of answer for the Browns.
Today that answer comes from the barrel of a gun. This is your country. This is not your government.
