Yes, I agree that Putin is near his end, that he can't be trusted, and that he is a bastard. I don't believe for a second that you can take your eye off what he is up to. I do think since he knows he is at the end of his run that he is doing things now "for the glory of Russia."

This war in Ukraine, his new thing of reclaiming "Russian property" around the world. It's chest beating for PR to make the Russian people think he is a great Russian. He always wanted to come across as this tough guy and father of the Russian people.

I see him as dangerous but I don't think he is crazy. I think he has always wanted a seat at the table. We've had a line of people that just have never really taken a sound approach to him. That includes Clinton, Obama, and Biden. Hey, Putin earned their distrust, not saying he did not, but my feeling is, we took a flawed approach to him. I do think part of our approach to Ukraine was to inspire some of his own people to kill him. To make that situation such a mess, that there was no choice but to have Vlad taken out. I think in part, it is punishment for interfering in our elections, for killing people on foreign soil, for being the sneaky little bastard he is.

He overreached, I think, when he attacked Ukraine, but I feel like he was goaded into doing that. I don't think attacking Ukraine has worked out for him, now he is in a boondoggle, and he would only want a way out that leaves him smelling good.

I think that is something that should be discussed, if we want to end that sooner rather than later.
