That is interesting. I have never heard that. Now that you said that though, it makes me wonder. I'm coming at this as a pediatric speech pathologist working with birth to 3 years. I refer children for developmental testing quite often to determine if they are autistic. After more than 3 decades in this field, I am getting good at spotting red flags quite easily, I think. Anyway, in children at this age, part of autism is that they are "in their own world" which makes them the center of everything. It just occurred to me that I wonder if that can then later lead to older autistic children/adults developing narcissistic personalities because it is hard for them to get outside of themselves. Just a thought and given that I still have a little brain fog from COVID, I may not be thinking this out well.
