i don't and never did claim that allowing a youth to get an abortion without parental notification is necessarily a good thing. in fact, to be honest, i'm not quite sure how i feel about the Florida decision. even after reading all posts here and while discussing with ma, we saw both sides' arguments and their validity. and still were unable to come down firmly on one side or the other...although i think we leaned towards requiring notification, as secrets within a family are usually destructive to its coherence...although too many families are already too far gone in that department to begin with. yada X infinity...
and frankly, Pat - liberal shmiberal, because i do know this: freedom, among many other things, means choice. don't like abortions? then don't have one.
