*** NOT ONCE did my partner in irresponsibility EVER express ANYTHING along those lines, Dale. it is a SERIOUS and TRAUMATIC life event. ***

Roger,

I have an "intelligent", 23 year old young woman who works for me. A year ago she had a boyfriend, was sleeping with my IT guy and she was (secretly) sleeping with my 43 yr old boss. (I had him fired for this indiscretion back in March.) One day she comes in and tells me she's pregnant. My first question to myself was "whose is it?" Then I asked myself, why wouldn't an obviously promiscuous woman use some type of birth control? Not as intelligent as I thought, I guess.

The next day she comes in and says she's decided to have an abortion. I told her that was probably a good idea and told her to take the time she needs. She comes back the day after the abortion seemingly at ease with her decision. Obviously, I don't know how she was doing mentally but by all visual indications she was holding up extremely well. She was very non chalant (sp?) about this and I wondered if she had gone through this before and was now used to the procedure. I saw no signs of trauma or anguish, and believe me when I tell you, this girl wears her emotions on her sleeve.

This is why I made the statement.
