Mike McCarron, executive director of the Florida Catholic Conference, one of several groups on both sides that intervened on both sides of the issue, said the decision "is outrageous and terrible."

"It robs children of their parents' involvement in vital health decisions and it robs the parents of their right to raise and properly care for their children," McCarron said.

 

if, as the article states, 11-year-olds are getting pregnant, the notion of parental involvement is more or less a joke, as is the question of raising and properly caring for their children. i believe a large part of this 'problem' of unwanted pregnancies at such a young age stems from a lack of parental involvement... i say let these kids abort and rejoice in the fact that they won't be forced into a situation where they become inadequate parents themselves... otherwise the cycle is furthered... the focus needs to be on education, not whether abortions should be freely administered
