Why not kick your drummer in the rear & tell him to learn the breaks and like it!  I mean, it could be worse . . . he might explode, leaving only a stain.  Or perhaps choke on undustable vomit . . .

You may think I am kidding, but these things happen to drummers all the time!  It is absolutely 1000% documented and verifiable!  And if you do not believe it, then we all know how much of an IDIOT you are!  In fact, I bet you don't even know how to UPGRADE the ROBOTS in your PANTS!!!!!
