I was remarking about how both Gulf 1 and Gulf 2 had very similar machinations in the build up and persuasion of the American people to be all right and go along with each respective war.

If you recall, a young woman appeared before Congress (if I recall correctly it was Congress and not the UN) and spoke of Saddam's soldiers throwing Kuwaiti babies out of incubators. Bush I used this in his preamble for war. He also used the fabrication of Saddam amassing tanks on the Kuwaiti-Saudi Arabia border, thus, leading the world to believe that was Saddam's next step. CIA satellite images later revealed that to be incorrect.

So my point was, both Bushes and the US Govt used drama and lies, instead of the truth, to persuade the American people to believe these wars were necessary.
