I think we err when we stick Dale and Pat with the same cookie cutter label. I've always felt Dale was in the libertarian camp (fiscally conservative, socially moderate), while Pat pretty much fit the standard image of the conservative Republican that most of us have such strong issues with. I know I won't soon forget Pat's homophobic and wetback comments. I don't have as good a read on Marc, but I sense that he's thankfully more Dale than Pat. Can't imagine two Pats on this board.

I know the majority of us are Democrats and are undoubtedly united in our antipathy of Bush, but I'm sure we differ on a variety of issues.

At times I've wondered if the nature of message boards isn't conducive to civil discussion. It can be easy to misread comments, and, given that most of us really don't know each other, at times we can react a bit too heatedly.
