Speaking of Triage.   I always seem to come back to that recording, especially when I am in the mood to simply listen..and marvel.  I think musically and technically it is one of the greatest recordings of all time, and in particular, Secret Silken World a masterpiece.

If you don't mind sometime, David, I'd really love to know somewhat of the technical details that went into making that one.  What I'm after here is gear, amount of time it took, what a typical session was like and where on earth Bottrell got those fantastic loops from, particularly the percussive things, some of which sound like windup toys and the like.  Being a home recording hobbyist, I am just blown away by the "textures", for lack of a better word that were created with the vocals, the spoken word passages etc..  Is it a question of mic choices, compressors etc????   Any information you feel free to share, I would be truly and humbly grateful..  There was a lot of recorded magic on that one.
