I've always felt it wasn't important when you finish. It's only important when you start. When it comes to the US starting to realize that there are other people in the world that might get a bit aggitated by being manipulated for their resorces, labor, young nubile children, and that over a period of say a 100 #*^#@$%@!YEARS you don't expect some possible retaliation? That's why starting is the important thing.
