Icon An apology

I just want to apologize to everybody because I obviously provoked Pat with the title of the original post in this thread and clearly that was my intention. I know that none of you are likely upset with me and I'm not apologizing for that reason...it's just an apology out of respect for all of you who visit here and for creating any sort of disturbance that may have bothered people. I do not, of course, blame myself for anything Pat said because only Pat can take credit for his words. I probably could have just titled my post "Selling Us a War" and left it at that but I'll be honest, most of you that went though that post probably knew all about its content. It likely did not surprise or shock anybody here and I figure most of you saw it as old news. I also figure a lot of people wonder why the hell I'd try to get Pat's thoughts on anything at this point and I don't blame you for that. The best way to explain it, I guess, is to say I'm always curious. I just want to know if you put certain stuff in front of people what they may say or think. Pat among this group is, and I would doubt that anybody would argue this, the square peg and seems to exist somewhere far away from the rest of the crew. That includes the other people that post here that are perceived to be right of center...I mean let's face it the best we can do in terms of knocking around opposing political views without Pat or somebody that claims to be supportive of what the Bush Administration has done (and really maybe none of the other guys are saying anything because Pat is the only one left that believes any of that junk) is a discussion of the pros and cons of Ron Paul. Herring and Ed got as much as they could out of that and did a great job but really...Ron Paul? Sure he's interesting (well, not to Ed) but his own party, for the most part, rejects him so the man would probably fit in great around here...meaning we tend to express views that don't align with the mainstream...
