To help get us all fired up about attacking Iraq the media and members of our government repeated a falsehood about Saddam gassing the Kurds to paint Saddam as a "genocidal maniac". Why did they do this? Obviously to help bolster our support of having to "get Saddam."
Now parts of our government want to go to war with Iran even though this flies in the face of common sense. So, what to do...well how about create a lie about the President of Iran and have the media repeat it until everybody accepts it as fact. It's got to be a real good lie though, something that sounds sexy and dangerous like the president of Iran said he wants to "wipe Israel off the map."
Ok, wash, rinse, repeat, wash, rinse, repeat. Now we've got a whole lot of people (Pat and all his pals probably only needed to hear it once) thinking this is what the president of Iran said...this would make him a very bad guy and dangerous to the world right...sure...but there's a problem...
Why would they do this? Well, we have had several years now of the Bush Administration telling us that there are people coming to get us. It's very common for media types and government types to say that "they hate us" and "they want to kill us" so a story about the president of Iran saying he wants to "wipe Israel off the map" is very sexy and gets people to watch or listen and meets the agenda of our current corrupt administration and some very ugly folks that want to see armageddon in the Middle East. So why were we attacked on 9/11, was it because "they hate us"? Our government does not think so...
It's important we stop our current corrupt administration and prevent a war with Iran. It seems we can't trust the MSM to help us in this cause...
