There was one other botched call...and, from my point of view, it was the final cut and turning point that took the wind completely out of the game:

A perfect example of the officials in the NFL determining the outcome of the game was ??holding?? after the first down pass to the one yard line from Hasselbeck to Stevens.  ...My ace there was holding!  Not that it mattered one way or another to me who won this game, ...I was okay with either...in a well-played game, ...but the ref who tossed that errant rag...definitely changed the momentum of the fourth quarter.

Converse to their point of existence, referees have taken the honesty out of all too many games. Basketball refs are on that list as well.

Let them...play ball!

Unrelenting Referees, Traffic cameras, DNA swabs, PC spies & daily viruses, microchip injected children, pinpoint laser surgery via billion dollar satellites, teaching th’kids to nag frenzied parents via corporate TV, OnStar, FUD, partially hydrogenated oil, high... fructose corn syrup...& single serving drip-coffee, poor-starving brilliant rock & rollers/rich regrettable rock & rollers, ...ohh, this Brave New World of our creation....

...Go fishin’ m’ boy....

But in the end, congratulations Steelers and their diehard fans, it was cool to see the team that supported its coach through turbulent years and strange loyalties take home the win.  Might still have gone that’a way had that fckn poor-azz call not occurred, ...but I’d have still been in front of the game to watch the outcome...had the refs not stole the final moments with their “state-of-the-art” moot reckonings that sent me, having been had,  ...out to other interests.

But dat’s just one lampooning opine.
