I don't much care for capital punishment myself, it's like an abortion to me. Nobody has the right to take away another's human life.
That being said, this man unfortunately never got that concept himself and took the lives of 4 other innocent people. Even with that horrible legacy, I would have forgiven him of death if only he would have atoned for his actions to the victims' families....admitted it and shown at least a modicum of remorse. Arnold made the right decision.
The evidence against Tookie was overwhelming. He knew he did it, in a most brutal way and even bragged about it, yet always maintained his innocence to the public. If after 25 years to think about it and he still didn't get it, what's the point in keeping him around? He definately didn't reform. He was looking for any way out... I guess he finally found it.
What say we stop the abortions and give the newcomer's a crack at it eh?
