this is certainly NOT to steer away from the TRUTH that film and video games and basic evolution of war propaganda/execution and the evil that men document or seal behind closed cabinet doors for half a century or more has desensitized US to domestic misuses of handguns/etc. by our fugly lower common denominator; hatred, bigotry, hillbilly prerogative, bloodlust, manifest destiny, GOP, religious zealotry/scapegoat, illness, childhood innocence/angst, and the list is long, the disparity longer, has for too long now pulled the trigger, and the damage done. so we argue on. I, for one, would not be heartbroken on a planet without gun powder. I'm just fine with that. It's the ideal option. But if you're going target shooting, I will go in on rounds and fire my share downrange. We'll wait until AFTER all the ordnance has been fired and the weapons stowed away before heading to some local pub for a pint. Actually I haven't fired a gun in several years. But it's like riding a bike. Except you can't shoot your Harry M. Whittington with a bike.
