The truth is, if a person can watch that and not grasp what it means, what was going on within the Trump White House, there probably isn't much to say to them. The words of Mr. Herschmann tell us a very dangerous tale. We hear over and over about the "guardrails" and how they were there to save us. The "guardrails" were the people that would not go along with Trump's coup attempt. Eastman was pushing the coup for Trump, on Trump's orders. I have no reason to like Mr. Herschmann but in this instance he was part of the guardrails that helped prevent Trump from driving our democracy and country over a cliff. 

Literally, Eastman was attempting to drive the bus over that cliff and bounced off the part of the guardrail named Herschmann. Who, in no uncertain terms told Eastman what he and Trump were up to was illegal and unconstitutional. 

Herschmann's testimony tells us exactly how close we were and really how if they want to attempt this again they just need to put into place people that will go along with a plan like this. That's all there is to it. 

To some extent we could take Herschmann's testimony as a good sign, that even in an administration as corrupt as Trump's was...there still were people that would tell Trump and his wacko gang that they were out of their fucking minds and they better get a good lawyer because they are breaking the law. 

It does not just paint that picture for us though, for the corrupt people on the Republican side it also helps draw the map for where they need to put people so they can pull off the coup the next time.
