Jason:
My entire point was that personal protection is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, and NOT the job of the police, politicians, or anyone else for that matter.
It's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!
Also, you mentioned that you felt that there was nothing in the Constitution or Bill Of Rights that makes you feel safe in your community. Well Jason, perhaps you better get a copy of both of those documents, and read them over.
In the Constitution, the first ten amendments are called the Bill Of Rights. All of the following are for the purposes of providing safety for all citizens:
01) 2nd Amendment -
02) 3rd Amendment - (and also the Posse Comitatus Act)
03) 4th Amendment -
04) 5th Amendment -
05) 8th Amendment -
Also, if you don't feel safe in your community, the answer might lie in the fact that perhaps you need to move to a safer place, or buy a gun for protection, instead of secretly wishing that the police would run around with more pepper spray.
One of the major problems with this country right now is that there are too many people who want someone else to do their job of protecting their own family, and that is leaving the door wide open to tyranny and fascism.
