We share the same memory, EEE, regarding the Taliban's ability to wait us out, however long that may be. I fear for the females, free thinkers, gays, and lovers of democracy in Afghanistan. If only they could defend themselves like those fearless Kurdish women. But in the end, if the majority of the population truly wanted to live free of the Taliban, wouldn't more Afghans have spent the last two decades organizing themselves? I know, so easy for Peter T. to offer advice from the safety of America.
