Knowing as many Afghani lads as i do it's hard to get my head around the reputation it has for extreme violence. The tribal warlords's status and the importance of family allegiances create a fanaticism that defies subjugating but at such an expense to the young male population. They loathe Pakistanis more than anyone from what I know. The kind of medieval violence they inflict on each other and foreigners is breathtaking yet they are also the most gentlest and respectful people as well.
