Denouncing my views is a matter of opinion. Carter had character. He seemed to be an honest caring man. More so than say Nixon. He was a putz and ineffective as a president because he had no backbone or leadership abilities. Both of which George W has which is why he will win in a landslide in the next election. And how soundly was this great man Carter defeated in the next election by Reagan. I think that speaks volumes about his leadership and backbone
