Hey Green, brother gardener . . . here's a rookie question.

I planted potatoes this year, for the first time, and I'm wondering about one aspect of growing them.

I recall being told that you have to mulch the potato bed at a certain point, or else wind up with inedible potatoes.

How does one know when to mulch?

Hope all is well with you and your Muscovy, etc.
