Apparently I expressed my intent poorly sir, my apologies.

My meaning was I don't care how benevolent the candidate is perceived to be, I don't trust him, or her, to micro manage your, or the global societies life.

The Dalai Lama being perceived as benevolent as your statement confirms, I still wouldn't trust. (Although, his not wanting the job could be viewed as an affirmative qualification.)

Did I do better?-) I hope!
