I disagree here. I strongly support churches involvment in politics. If they were not we would a totally secular society which
as I see it now we are trying to become.
So you are going against the ways of Jesus and what our founding fathers believed too? In other words you are anti-Christian and anti-American. I must say a very interesting position. You pretty much stand against all the United States once stood for. Basically you're saying you are an enemy of the state, the people, and believe in the wholesale destruction of Christianity. Mind blowing stuff really. You are quite the rebel.
This guy sounds exactly like a Presbyterian pastor I went to church at in the late 1990's. He disagreed on scripture out and out really ignoring it in selecting key role players in the church base upon his "personal" stance. I walked out of that church the minute I knew his views
But Pat, your words...and I guess actions...go against scripture and you are making up your own "personal stance" on Christianity and government that has nothing to do with Jesus, the bible, or the Constitution of the United States. This Mr. Boyd is just going by the teachings of Jesus and what our founding fathers believed. Your statements are contradictory and confusing.
Man this guy really sounds like a winner. The fact is this is a Christian nation and it is so called Christian guys like this thatgive it a bad name. Studies have shown that 85 to 90% of the the United States is Christian and it is time for those people to stand up and be counted instead of hiding in the shadows the the illegal aliens :)
If 85 to 90 percent of the populace is Christian then it would stand to reason that there is no chance whatsoever that the remaining 10 to 15 percent of the people in this country could turn the US into a completely secular country...so what do you have to worry about? Are you saying that the 10 to 15 percent that is not Christian hold all positions of power? I think your math and reasoning seem sort of...well...way off. How does a guy that is following the teachings of Jesus Christ and says that Jesus is who he believes Christians must answer to and serve above all others, give Christians a bad name? And finally, Christians have done anything but hide in the shadows throughout their history...so really...what in the name of God are you talking about?
The fact is this guy is speaking English is a testament that he should be thankful for U.S. military campaigns. I know I beat that like a dead horse but it is true.
I'm guessing you mean we'd be speaking German if it were not for our entry into WW2...which was engineered by Democrats...but your statement is in fact not true but a supposition on your part. There is a rather giant difference. It is interesting though that you blatantly support your theories with random guesswork.
So on second thought Reg I would have walked out in only 2 minutes.
So...Boyd bad, Fred Phelps good? Are you a fan of Freddie? I mean you seem to have invented your own form of Christianity and your arguments fold in on themselves in a profoundly bizarre way...so what exactly are you shooting for here, Pat? From what I can tell it's a destruction of our Constitutional Republic and a reinvention of Christianity that hacks out large portions of the teachings of Jesus, which I'd imagine you'd want removed from the bible. At least that seems to be what you're saying...can you clarify?
