Here's something to ponder...Has everyone noticed how American white male xenophobic bullshit creates so many problems? By this I mean, we as an unbending, predominately "white male capitalist culture" with a large helping of xenophobia, have offened so many and created so many devisive rifts that we can't get the type of intelligence that we need. I mean, really, who with such information would want to genuinely help the US? Look at this Chalibi character and the Iraqi defectors. Does anyone really think that these people want to genuinely help the US and that they do not have motives and goals of their own? I watched that PBS documentary on Frontline and was sickened by how these characters sucked in the US and Shrub Admin with terrible information and no one really cared to analyze these problems. I mean come on, our Govt took information from a damned investment BANKER, who had not been in Iraq for over ten years and ran with it like it was the gospel.To take it one step further, if I were an Iraqi defector and scientist and Hussein screwed with me and killed off family members, how would I get back? Yes, I would make shit up, tell the US what they wanted to hear and hope for the best. And this is a problem back here in the US as well. All sorts of criminal intelligence gathering is hampered by race and cultural problems because of the white male arrogance and practice of pissing people off and failing to include them in our society. We really have created a system where it is so very hard to penetrate areas in need of intelligence gathering and it is no fault but our own.
