I think Europe is already uniting with Denmark, Greenland, and Canada and China will likely join the coalition because they know this shit won't fly and it will paint the USA as the least trusted country on the planet. 

yes! This is now happening. The tipping point is probably Greenland and liberal democratic Europe is converging in solidarity around this now. I think that things are still going to get very messy as these old blokes are not far away from the end of their time on this blue planet and are no doubt happy to take everyone into oblivion with them if that is what it takes to win or prove a point, especially Putin. Hopefully it doesn't happen before I get over to Reg's barn and we crack open a few bottles of the queer stuff with Dan and maybe even a few more Info Source comrades. Whilst watching the Pats?
