I was thinking of what Denmark could do with respect to this insane threat toward Greenland, and Danish sovereignty. How does this sound? Denmark would produce a one or two minute video titled, " A Message For America From Their Friends in Denmark", or something like that. It would assemble various Danes, some ordinary citizens from Greenland and Denmark, perhaps the Prime Minister, Additionally, I'd spotlight relatives of Danish service members who died fighting alongside us in Iraq and Afghanistan. I would include Danish soldiers who were wounded in action. The message would speak to Denmark's highly successful 80 year alliance with us and our NATO allies. It would highlight Denmark's close ties to us when, in the aftermath of 911, they immediately showed solidarity with us, sending thousands of troops to fight and die alongside Americans. The message would underscore Danish's commitment to shared national security by providing our military with pretty much unlimited access to territory required for our bases, personnel, and related assets. The message could mention Denmark's willingness to strike mutually beneficial agreements on natural resources, especially rare earths. The video would conclude with Denmark expressing a genuine sense of betrayal, fear, but fear tempered with absolute strength and resolve that they are a proud nation who is prepared to defend itself. Finally, the message will end with the sober recognition that events could quickly unravel in many unforeseen ways should Trump make good on his outrageous threat.
