If not for Trump himself I would agree... however Trump has climbed up the tree and he does not want to be seen to loose under ANY circumstances. And definitely not to some indigenous inuits ... Also he has promised Putin that he would do this in order for Putin to have an excuse for claiming Ukraine. Also this is one of the few things that Trump himself really likes - it literally does make america greater again and the (false!!!) argument about minerals, oil, security etc does work with his base.
