Kevin,Some of your arguments could be better.....and I'm sorry, but your quotes seem to be coming directly from Goldberg's book...For example...You wrote:
"I remember how the Republicans shut down the government in '95...why
wasn't it reported that the Democrats were the responsible party? That sort of thing
happens all the time." But if you recall, 95 was AFTER Newt Gingrich and his followers took over the House....they are the ones that shut down the government, not the democrats.....You Wrote""The mainstream media is quick to quote a person from 'NOW' to speak for the women of
America but how often do you hear them let a person from a conservative group speak for
women in general?"I have seen rebuttals from those on the right all the time. And if you watch FoxNews enough they always have groups that represent the views of women from the Christian-conservative perspective. Also, when do you ever see organizations like the "Heritage Foundation" be recognized as a conservative think tank? Or anymore, when ever Ann Coulter, Laura Ingram or many other writers are on from the right, they are identified as "authors." As for Iraq, here is an example of terrible reporting from NBC news tonight. The reporter was reporting from a seemingly busy street today. Then NBC showed file footage of the same area just after the end of the so-called major fighting in Iraq and back then the street was almost completely void of life. The reporter was using such spurious footage today to show how life in Iraq has suddenly became vigorous and bustling. Well, when one thinks about this for just second, one figures out....of course the streets would be empty right AFTER major battle. Frankly, I disagree with all the good things that are going on in Iraq. Especially when I read in the more critical outlets that our soliders are being attacked DOZENS of times a day. And also on the news today and in the press were reports that we can't even properly guard stockpiles of arms in Iraq. Heck, there was some conservative woman House member on today saying how Iraq has always been a breeding ground for terrorists. Of all people to correct her was Pat Buchanan - how refreshing that was to finally see a conservative standing up for the truth. He told her that Iraq has not done a thing to us in over ten years and that it wasn't a breeding ground for terrorism until we turned it into one. EEE
