The weird thing is for some reason, the mail is erratic when it comes to new issues of The New Yorker. Most often, they will arrive regularly, but every now and then something happens and they are either delayed or arrive two or three on the same day.

Both the one issue with the short piece and long piece came late and together and then the new issue arrived with the bad news a few days later (and this issue was still early into what is current). 

Anyway, it was so surreal to read the one piece of how confident MAGA was before Milwaukee kicked off and how they thought an assassination attempt was just one more piece to a landslide in Nov. 

Then, the big article and after the meltdowns of MAGA, the wonder of where it all went.
