Personally, I don't think they are going to matter a whole lot.  Those who don't care are just going to shut it out; those who care are just going to be outraged a while longer, and the Republican Party and their cult people are just going to ignore them and cry witchhunt. 

I hope I am wrong and the hearings have a massive impact, but I doubt they will.  One thing that bothers me is that I do think they are important and especially to those that believe in government and the importance of the role of government, but at this time, the US, its citizens and the US Government have become this sort of horrific carnival sideshow.

Sadly, I think Washington Democrats still think this is the 70s where there are only really four channels on the TV dial that would force people to view more while bitching about their favorite TV show being pre-empted by these hearings when instead we live in an age where viewers can now just switch the channel to pay cable or their favorite streaming shows and then get a thirty-second recap spewed out by their favorite news personality.

Then, of course, how nowadays Americans have about a ten-second attention span when it comes to true matters of importance.

One other thing the Dems are fucking up big time is their delay/slow reaction in dealing with Trump legally.  They need to get off the pot sooner than later because if he is indicted, then that could either be a great thing or a huge bomb in the face, and if it blows up, it is better to have it blow up early than closer to Nov.  And what gets me about this is that IF trump is indicted anywhere, he is going to come out nuclear and his followers are sure to follow rather than dump him AND the Democrats should get this.
