All my American life, the phony narrative of how Republicans are the "adults" in the room has been pushed in this country.  Jesus.  Are they really disproving that right now.  But what is even more troubling is that 71 million voting (remember, that is just voting) Americans are apparently oblivious to the incompetence of Republicans. 

What we see now is just not incompetence, but criminality.  And for a US Supreme Ct Justice to go on about how religious freedoms are being lost due to COVID restrictions is bullshit.  If anything, it is a temporary inconvenience. 

What we really need in the US is a Walter Conkrite figure that has the respect of the nation and enough clout to come out and just really persuade people about many things, but alas, I fear those days are long, long gone.
