"Also, while Trump is a moron so we can expect this kind of ignorance from him if the Attorney General ignores a Congressional subpoena...holy crap...that is INSANE! Barr is not a moron. He knows that he needs to obey a subpoena...of all the people on the planet the Attorney General knows if he ignores a subpoena he is saying, as the top guy at DOJ, there are no laws in this country. That would be a total disaster and opens up the possibility that we could see Barr taken out of his office in handcuffs...seriously...can you imagine seeing the Attorney General of the United States arrested?"

We don't know precisely what the agreement Barr has with Trump, but it most likely includes a pardon for Barr if that were to happen.

I don't think either one of them anticipated the fight coming up with Mueller who isn't going to let 22 months of meticulous work go down the drain of Trump self-preservation.

I believe Mueller will resign before agreeing not to testify before Congress.

And I think you're right that Trump's best bet is to resign, then be pardoned by Pence. His need to be god may stand in the way of that though.

I'm looking carefully at Venezuela. I was surprised when Trump went against strongman Maduro. It was out of character for him. Then when I heard that Putin had told Maduro to hang in there, and Pompeo say nothing is off the table, including military action, I wonder if Trump is capable of insuring his reelection by getting us into a war he thinks he and Putin could control. Just a little war, few casualties, nothing not worth his reelection.
