I might also add that initially, only 1% of Americans(another "get the rich" bait and switch scheme) qualified for the privilege of paying income tax. Well, that is until that a little monetary policy of exasperating inflation came into play.

As to SS Eugene/All: if there is to be such a program -which I believe is a horrid idea(for any nation)- there should be no cut-off. If one benefits from our system, and we're going to employ this sort of socialism, then the rich don't deserve any special benefits and should pay to the nthº, including those extra special people designated corporations.

Social Security is such a farce, a lie and a tool of endless fearmongering. Personally, I will never apply for, nor accept SS.
