Icon The thing I would beg people to understand...

...is that inviting people like Hillary Clinton or Karl Rove to the table is what is eating our Democracy alive. These people work in such a way that guarantees that we will put the worst possible people in a position to run the country and they do it with dishonesty, distortion and propaganda and they have no shame in doing it and they will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. This is a disgrace and what happened in South Carolina was a disgrace and anybody that would support these people is putting their stamp of approval on this kind of filthy garbage. It is hurting the American people and the whole world because it ensures that the better candidates will be destroyed and we'll get to choose from the best mudslingers...or swine as I would prefer to call them.

Barack Obama is a decent guy but Hillary Clinton pulled him down into the slime and forced him to deal on her level and he can't win at that game. He looked horrible in that debate...horrible. You've got to have the nasty streak, the ruthlessness for it and Obama is not that kind of guy. John Kerry was not that kind of guy and these guys will pay the price every time they have to face somebody like the Clintons or Karl Rove because they have no mercy and no decency. We paid the price when Republicans ate up the bullshit the Bush 2000 campaign made up about John McCain and they destroyed him. We will pay the price again if Democrats ride the cesspool wave the Clintons have created to the nomination and back to the White House. The voters have to say no to the Roves, to the Clintons, and to people like them. That's the only way to stop it because these political strategists are like NFL coaches, they will copy whatever has won in the past and ride it as long as they can.

It's a simple thing really and people I hope will start to recognize it. It's not rocket science how it's done. All they do is sling as much mud as they can, it does not matter if it's true or not, and it wipes out the opposing candidates ability to deliver a message because they have to spend all their time responding to the tidal wave of bullshit allegations. It sunk McCain, it sunk Kerry, it's sinking Obama now, and earlier it sunk Edwards. It will play out again and again as long as they think they can win with it. The media loves it and they take a "soft" approach to it meaning they don't really do anything to prevent it, they will report the allegations as if that is "news" (as if this is being unbiased) and it forces the candidate to have to respond to it. Which makes a better show and gets more people to watch.

Hey, a lot of people said that debate in South Carolina was some of the best tv we've seen in some time, because it was so nasty and so obvious that Clinton and Obama really do despise each other. I can understand Obama despising the Clintons, they have been vicious, dirty, and 24/7 smearing him in every underhanded way possible. The Clintons just hate Obama because he's African American...not because they are racists but because he had the audacity to be African American and run against her in the year she wanted to be the "superduper minority break the glass ceiling candidate"...they fucking hate him because he now provides a second "first timer" option for president. The sad part is, while I do think Obama may someday make a great president now is not the time and he is kind of running a bit too early and the Clintons feel that way too and they are going to be vicious about making him pay for that.

To be honest though, the Clintons and the media stooges all looked like racists the way they conducted themselves. They have turned this whole thing into a battle over skin color, gender, and how we should vote according to our color and gender...it is a massive low for this country and to do it on MLK day was an outrageous display that should have made people weep.

For the record Edwards blew the other two away in that debate and gave what I think was the best performance he ever has in a debate...too bad people were too enthralled with the mudslinging and barely noticed him.
